Affective Care was born from the collaboration of two passionate professionals—a practicing psychologist and an experienced accountant. Together, they united the worlds of mental health expertise and effective operational systems to create a service that stands out in the NDIS space. 

Our journey began with a shared vision: to provide personalised, high-quality care that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives. Support Worker

Are you a compassionate, reliable carer with a heart for helping others live more independently and joyfully?
We’re on the lookout for an experienced female Support Worker to assist a lovely participant in Bexley, providing community access, personal care (including showering), and friendly, respectful companionship.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing respectful personal care support, including showering and daily living tasks
  • Driving the participant to appointments, social outings, and community activities
  • Supporting her in staying active and engaged with her community
  • Building a warm, trusting relationship based on empathy, dignity, and encouragement
  • Promoting her independence while offering practical and emotional support
  • Managing physically demanding tasks with confidence and composure, ensuring the participant’s needs are met calmly and effectively

You’ll Need:

  • A great attitude and a passion for people
  • A calm, capable presence – someone who can respond quickly and effectively when challenges arise
  • A love for the outdoors, fitness, and a good chat
  • Reliability, empathy and great communication skills
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Driver’s licence (bonus points if you’ve got your own car!)
  • At least 2 years experience as a Support Worker

Pay: $34.00 – $37.00 per hour

About the Role
Join the growing team at Affective Care as a Support Coordinator in a rewarding full-time position based in Campsie. In this role, you’ll work closely with people living with disability, helping them access the services and resources they need to live with independence, dignity, and choice.

What You’ll Be Doing
Develop person-centered support plans in collaboration with clients and their families

Coordinate and monitor the delivery of services to align with client goals and budgets

Advocate on behalf of clients to the NDIS in order to secure appropriate funding, equipment, and resources

Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of community service providers

Manage a case load of approximately 40 clients.

Provide emotional support, guidance, and mentoring to empower clients towards independence

Regularly review and update support plans to meet changing client needs

Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements

What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years’ experience in support coordination or case management

Strong knowledge of the disability and aged care sectors, including funding models (e.g., NDIS)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused, empathetic approach

Highly organised, with proven skills in care planning, service coordination, and stakeholder management

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office and client record management systems

Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle preferred

Jessica brings over two decades of experience as an educator and a strong foundation in psychology to her role as an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner. As PBS Team Manager, she leads with clarity and accountability, ensuring practice aligns with both NDIS standards and ethical, person-centred care.

Her approach is holistic and collaborative, taking into account sensory, environmental, emotional, and relational factors that influence behaviour. Jessica works closely with individuals, families, and support teams to ensure behaviour support plans reflect personal values, lived experience, and real-world contexts.

Jessica’s leadership supports consistency, quality, and confidence across multidisciplinary teams. Her work ensures behaviour support is not just compliant, but compassionate, practical, and genuinely empowering.

Chady is a highly experienced psychologist whose work spans both public and private sectors. At Affective Care, he delivers integrated behavioural and psychological services, supporting clients of all ages through assessment, therapy, and tailored intervention.

Known for his leadership within multidisciplinary teams, Chady brings structure, insight, and consistency to complex presentations. His expertise includes early intervention, rehabilitation, and complex case management, with a strong commitment to clinical governance and quality care.

Miray brings over 20 years of experience in education into her clinical work as a Positive Behaviour Therapist and Registered Counsellor. Her practice integrates behavioural science with a deep understanding of human development, particularly during adolescence.

She takes a holistic approach, blending structure with empathy to support individuals through behavioural challenges. Miray’s work is grounded in understanding the whole person—their environment, relationships, and emotional world.
