A SIL house is a home where NDIS-funded support workers help you with daily living. Supported Independent Living (SIL) funds the support, not the house itself, so you can live as independently as possible with help available up to 24/7.
SIL is for NDIS participants with high support needs who need help at home most of the day and night. Eligibility is decided in your NDIS plan, usually with reports from an occupational therapist and your support coordinator.
No. SIL funding only pays for support workers. Rent, board, food and everyday bills are paid from your own income, Disability Support Pension or Commonwealth Rent Assistance. We explain all costs clearly before you move in.
SIL is the support, the workers who help you live independently. SDA is the specialist housing itself, built for very high needs. Some people have both. We can help you work out which suits you and link the two if needed.
We have SIL homes across Sydney (including Belmore and Campbelltown), the Central Coast (Wyong and Gosford), the Gold Coast and Canberra (Kambah, ACT). New homes open regularly, so call us for current vacancies near you.
Yes. Housemate compatibility matters. We consider personalities, routines, cultural needs and support levels so your home feels comfortable. You can also receive SIL in your own home if living alone suits you better.
Support can include personal care, meal preparation, medication, household tasks, life-skills building and help getting into the community, delivered 1:1 or shared, day and night, by trained support workers.
Just call 1300 615 193 or make a referral. There’s no waitlist. We discuss your needs, current vacancies and funding, then build a roster of care for NDIS approval and support your move in.

NDIS Improved Daily Living sits within Capacity Building […]
